The Professional Academy is an online community and training portal for professionals who work with students with hearing loss.  It is not geared toward any specific communication mode or age group of children but looks at overall needs of this population of students.  It also looks at your overall needs to be able to support them well.

The Professional Academy offers everything you need to meet your training needs and connect with other professionals who work with deaf and hard of hearing students.  No subs!  No travel!  You have access to more than 20 trainings from the comfort of your own home, classroom, or even car!  There is even an app, allowing for easy downloading and listening while you drive.

A membership is 12 months long, starting from the date of your registration.

Starting September 1, 2022, the Professional Academy is upgrading to the Professional Academy GOLD program.  Included inside the Professional Academy GOLD is more than 30 on-demand trainings and master classes plus live monthly trainings.  We call these trainings Monthly Meetups.  These 75 minute trainings offer strong impact and allow you to connect directly with the presenter and your peers.  These live trainings help create community and interaction among members. 

Professional Academy GOLD members also have access to our Teaching Toolbox, with over 100 lessons, activities and resources in the areas of auditory training, lanuage, self-advocacy, self-identity, transition, working memory and  more.

Starting Sept 1, 2022, Professional Academy Members will be able ot offer the parents on their caseload free access to the FRIEND Academy, our parent program that provides trainings, resources, and connection with other parents.

In addition, you also have access to our exclusive Facebook group for members only.  This Facebook group offers insight, dialog, pop-up trainings, interviews with others and more!

You get access to all of this from the point of your registration for the next 12-months.  

As members of the Professional Academy, you have access to the live trainings, and their recordings, from the time of your registration for the next 12 months.    However, means that you do NOT have access to the recordings of the trainings that happen prior to your registration.  That's why you want to register now so you don't miss any of our impacting and powerful live trainings!

Yes!  The Online Itinerant offers certificates of completion for each training.  In addition, we are approved to provide credit for RID, ASHA,  AG Bell, CTLE, and ISBE as well as Graduate Credit from Minot University!

Yes!  If there are only a few trainings that you are interested in, you can purchase trainings individually.   

Yes!  The Online Itinerant is always growing its library of trainings.  Current members of the Professional Academy will always have immediate access to any new trainings added to the Professional Academy library.

Not at all! The Professional Academy is a community of Teachers of the Deaf, SLPs, AuD's and more!  It is a great community for anyone who works with DHH students - regardless of age, communication mode or the educational environment.

You can join any time!  You will have full access for a full 12 months and all the trainings from the time of your registration moving forward.  This means that you will NOT have access to the live trainings you missed, however you WILL have access to the live trainings for the upcoming school year while you are a member of the Academy.
