Environments can make accessibility difficult for individuals experiencing hearing loss. Let's look at these potential barriers and identify ways to modify or create environments that support accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing individuals.

Bev has joined Stefanie Kessen, Founder of the Online Itinerant, as The FRIEND Academy’s Parent Coach. She brings with her a vast array of rich professional and personal experiences, education and training. She has served in the role of Special Education Teacher, Early Childhood Teacher, Early Interventionist, Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Homeschool Parent, Educational Consultant for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and most importantly has raised two daughters one whom is deaf (deafblind) due to Usher Syndrome 1. Bev has encompassed her education and experience to create an unique, eclectic, whole person approach.
