YOU NEED SUPPORT.
You are often on the run more than you're working with students.
Your caseload is diverse, and some of your student's needs are significant and unique.
You don't have access to colleagues to ask advice, get guidance, or share resources.
Deaf/Hard of Hearing students don't follow the same systems and processes as other special education students, such as RTI, LRE or even eligibility, and others don't understand why they are different.
As a "low incidence disability," you could use come guidance on what services should look like when it comes to direct service minutes, mainstreaming, sign language interpreters, and technology.
